Daryl Cheong
President
Daryl Cheong is a filmmaker, programmer, critic, and community organiser from Singapore. As filmmaker, he currently produces at award-winning Momo Film Co., working on BAFTA-winner Calleen Koh and acclaimed Daniel Hui's next films. As a programmer, he curated at the Singapore International Film Festival. He currently studies English at Nanyang Technological University, and is a recipient of the inaugural Talent Scholarship. Vice-President
Rhea is the Vice-President of NTU Film Society. She is also an English Literature and Art History student. In theory she reads, writes and watches everything esoteric; but in practice she reads her Twitter feed, rambles on her Substack, and watches Instagram reels.

Phyllis Chan Yu Jie
Honorary General Secretary
Phyllis is an undergraduate in English Literature and Art History (and also NTU Film Society's Honorary General Secretary). Constantly rambling on all things cultural, she finds herself defending contemporary art and "so bad, it's good" media. Venesya Mayvelie Kosasi
Honorary Financial Secretary
Venesya is the Honorary Financial Secretary for NTU Film Society with a love for films that explore the complexities of human nature and relationships. She is majoring in English and has been running a book blog on instagram (@teacupbooks) since 2019, where she regularly reviews (goes on rants about) books, creates content, and works with authors and publishers such as Penguin Random House SEA. When not reading or watching a bunch of things, she can be found crying over her newest hyperfixation and collecting random trinkets.

Business Manager
Sri Sakthivell.R is a Year 2 Mathematical Science student. He is the Business Director for NTU Film Society but is more commonly known as the ‘Transformers’ guy. He spends his free time watching movies, playing games and expanding his Lego collection. He is an avid car lover and is a huge fan of motorsports. Dexter Lok (he/they) is one third of the unholy social media trinity in Film Society currently majoring in Linguistics and English Literature. He is a Southeast Asian writer and multi-media storyteller based in Singapore who turns to the written word to make sense of this messy, acrimonious world. Basbas Elisha Raphaelle Patal
Basbas Elisha is the one third of the content creation team in NTU Film Society and an undergraduate in Communications. She is a Filipino graphic designer and visual artist who regularly designs work on her Instagram (@avecyuno) of her current hyperfixations in media such as music, films, and shows. Siti Noor Aisha Binte Jumari
Aisha Jumari is one third of the content creation team in NTU Film Society and a current major in Linguistics and Multilingual Studies. She is passionate about graphic design and spends her time overheating her MacBook, trying to run Adobe Suite. Azina is a programmer as part of NTU Film society and she is her third year of English Literature. She is just happy to be here. (Well, not uni but around I guess) But she dreads life. So, just the same old love-hate relationship trope, with herself and life. She is usually lost and confused, so if you see someone with the pikachu face, or a sheepish smile, you’ve probably got your girl!

Umar Al Khair
Umar is one of the programmers in Film Society. Currently majoring in Public Policy & Global Affairs (It’s just NTU’s self-important name for politics). Umar is a sleep deprived student who dreams of the death of capitalist love but struggles to hand in assignments. If ever you find yourself lying awake at night with ideas of picking up a placard, locking arms with friends and marching self importantly down Victoria Street, I’m your person!

Eliza Toh Si Ying
Eliza Toh is one of the programmers in NTU Film Society and an undergraduate in Communications. She does not wish to be perceived but will share her Letterboxd and Storygraph if you ask. She wishes to learn the bass guitar and has played half a bass guitar that one time. She will not stop telling everyone that she wishes to play the bass guitar.

Kumar Preetham
Preetham is a programmer in NTU Film Society, majoring in Computer Engineering. His body is heavily caffeinated, so there is never a dull moment with him. Being the experienced yapper that he is, you might need a pause button for his conversations. He spends more effort coming up with one line reviews for his Letterboxd, than securing his internships. Gia Kaur
Gia Kaur is one of our Workshop Managers coordinating our Filmmaking Lab currently majoring in English. Her past experiences in gallery work and the local music scene expresses her love for creativity in all forms. Hyperfixation is her enemy, whether it’s a new film or sweet treat, she’ll never want it just once.
