  • Kuo Yi Quan

  • Yeong Lek Sen

Lek Sen is a Staff Writer for NTU Film Society and an undergraduate in Maritime Studies. With a keen interest in anything humanities related, feel free to talk to him about anything regarding culture, history, politics, linguistics etc. After the end of his lessons (other than Film Society) you can find him at NTU’s Wine Society as well as Breakers. He also likes finding new potential hangouts with friends so (when he’s not struggling with his assignments) you might find him at The Projector or a vinyl cafe.

  • Koen Foo Yong Ping

Koen is a first year engineering student with a passion for reading, creative writing and occasional photography. He hopes that through the Film Labs offered by the NTU Film Society, he will be able to learn the basics of filmmaking, cinematography and film criticism, expanding his horizons to include a diverse range of films from around the world, and perhaps one day join the mad race for self-expression.

  • Muhd Muhaimin Abdul Hadi

Muhaimin is an undergraduate in English with a second major in Communication Studies. He possesses an inordinate amount of knowledge about obscure superhero films and media. He enjoys torturing himself with plainly bad movies and series and wishes for friends who share the same masochistic tendencies. That said, he also appreciates good films and has written a review for a Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes for JustSayingAsia. He is also the first person in the world to lick the Merlion.

  • Huang Yi Chen

Yi Chen is a Year 1 Communications student from WKWSCI and an aspiring director. He saw Dune and Interstellar once (Ok, more than once, lot more than once) and decided he wanted to recreate the same awe and wonder the cinematography in those films imbued. In his free time, he is an experienced video editor who likes to recreate beautiful movie shots in his own dorm.

  • Khushi Pai

Khushi is a fourth-year Public Policy and Global Affairs student, navigating the fine line between governance and guitar riffs. When she’s not unraveling the mysteries of the Frankfurt School, she’s busy penning reviews on her music blog, strumming along to Nick Cave, or rewatching Twin Peaks for the hundredth time. If you're into Deleuze and deep cuts, she’s your kind of person—don’t hesitate to say hello!

  • Maria Fernanda Freaner

Fernanda is a second year exchange student majoring in film in Chicago. If she’s not watching movies in her free time she’s exploring or traveling around the city to find independent coffee shops and bakeries. She can also be seen dabbling in sketching, writing, and sometimes singing. She’s been in film related classes/curriculars since elementary (primary) school and has created and participated in short films but is currently focusing on sound production and post production sound design. If you want to keep up to date with her you can check out her Instagram or Letterboxd.

  • Teh Jia Yuan

Jia Yuan is a final-year student at NTU, majoring in Linguistics and Multilingual Studies and minoring in Drama and Performance. As someone who finds solace in people-watching and spending her daily 2 hours commute to school crafting imaginary scenes in her head, Jia Yuan is interested in dramatising the mundanity of everyday life. She has always been interested in storytelling, and creating through any medium. Jia Yuan spends most of her time doodling on school notes, role-playing on dining tables, making movies in her head out of funny moments, and all things fun. In her free time, she likes to lie on grass and watch as the clouds pass by.

  • Yosua Chrial Martono

Yosua is a fourth-year exchange student from Indonesia majoring in computer science at his home uni, the University of Indonesia. A part-time musician (my band!) and a full-time defender of contemporary art, you can probably catch her at gigs, exhibitions or music studios. She is also unable to stomach horror movies (even FNAF)... New to film, she hopes to further explore the medium and expand her taste in film.

  • Liaw Xin Ru

Rue is a Year 1 Sociology student in NTU that has loved writing since young, but only recently started sharing her writing through a friend’s blog. • Angelica Ng Zhiqi

Angelica is a Staff Writer for NTU Film Society and a first-year Communications undergraduate. Her love for film started with childhood trips to the cinema with her parents, and unhinged rant-reviews on Instagram stories (set to Close Friends only). To connect with her, check out her LinkedIn.

  • Henrique Bravo

Henrique is a Research Fellow at NTU, working on coral reef ecology in Southeast Asia. His favorite films are silly comedies with deep themes like Scott Pilgrim vs the World and action-thrillers like Heat. He also claims to dabble in filmmaking himself because he once played an extra in some local indie film.

  • Abhijith Ravikumar

Abhijith is a Year 1 Computing Student who is hoping to rediscover his passion for writing. He often calls himself “Saul Goodman-coded” much to the dismay of those around him. Though he doesn’t watch movies frequently, he often enters a hyperfixated state where he’ll binge a directors entire filmography or speed through an entire TV show in a day, responsibilities be damned. In his free time, he is often seen watching long Youtube videos on topics of very little importance.
